It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on Saturday, June 14, 2025, of Robert Edward Wilson Jr. “Poochie”. Age 54 years old. He was born on Wednesday, January 27, 1971, in Lansing, Michigan the son of Robert Edward Wilson, Sr., and Fair Lee “Kate” Alexander-Wilson.
Robert was a cherished member of his community and was a proud graduate of Eastern High School. He dedicated his career to working at the Lansing State Journal. He found immense joy in fishing, camping, and exploring the wilderness.
Poochie's memory lives on through his loving family, including three children, Javonie Tate, Taliyah Wilson and Robert E. Wilson III; 2 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Linda Swanson, Terri Sanders, Kay Alexander, and Judy Alexander; brother, Joseph (Cynthia) Alexander; special niece, Lashounda (Holla)Alexander; special cousin, Authur (Jazz) Harris; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Annette Alexander.
