Robert Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 2, 2025.
Robert Gregory Wilson III, age 50, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Bobby was born May 26, 1975 in Monroe, he was the son of Robert Gregory and Judith Ann (Fowler) Wilson, Jr. Bobby moved with his parents to Laredo, Texas from 1986-1994, where he made several lifelong friends.

Bobby was incredibly quick-witted and ridiculously funny. He was a joker, a prankster, a wisecracker, and when people talk about someone who lit up a room, they were talking about Bobby. When people talk about someone's smile having the warmth of a thousand suns, they were talking about Bobby.

He was an ace pool player, an avid card and video game player, a talented woodworker, and a mechanically minded tinkerer who could fix just about anything. We love him with all our hearts and will miss him forever.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his siblings, Tony (Michelle) Bellestri and Tani Bellestri, his best friend Joe Sobus, who was like a brother to him, Joe's two boys Joe Jr. and Carson, who he loved as his own, and a beautiful, sprawling, loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Judie Wilson, and by his grandparents, Eulane and Robert Wilson and Elise and William Fowler.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
