It's been so long. You were so young. It finally dawned on that you're never coming back. I wish you were here. You would have been such a great step brother to me. Much love.

Rob, I remember when you first started student teaching at Cherokee. The kids absolutely adored you, along with the entire staff. The way you have changed lives in your short few months of being their is so unreal to me. How ONE person can affect THOUSANDS of peoples lives each day. I also remember the countless times I came to you crying about another jerk who had broken my heart, and you were the only person who actually made me feel strong enough to walk away, and to never settle. I will NEVER ever forget you, or how I got the chance to watch you change the lives of kids, and taught me how to be a better role model. I know you will be down protecting up, especially in a world that can so cruel and unfair. I only hope that you know how many people loved you, cared for you, wanted to be like you. It is never goodbye, it will always be see you later. Your an amazing man Rob, and I know your smiling down on us, and here in spirit to make us all as a wonderful person as you were.

Rob could weave beautiful learning experiences out of the genuine care he showed for his students combined with fun. My students loved him and always looked forward to their time with him in class. Rob talked about how all students deserved a chance to learn and we needed to work hard as teachers to find out what that combination was. He was an inspiration and will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time.
