\Robert A Wohlwend, Jr., 71, of Wolverton, MN, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in his home.

Robert Almon Wohlwend, Jr. was born September 29, 1954, the son of Robert A. and Ruth (Otterburn) Wohlwend, Sr., in Fargo, ND. He was raised on the family farm near Wolverton, MN, and graduated from Breckenridge (MN) High School in 1972. Following his high school education, Robert obtained a degree in accounting from North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

In 1975, Robert was united in marriage to Lorene McIntosh, establishing their home on the Wohlwend farm. Together they welcomed two children, Jennifer and Robert III. Robert’s professional journey began with driving truck for Orton Farms and then working for Northrup King Seed Company while helping his Dad work the family farm until he retired in the mid ‘80s. He later worked for National Agri Services in Moorhead, MN, until their operation moved to California. For the past twenty years Robert enjoyed serving the many customers and friends that came through the parts counter for the Titan Machinery farm store, east of Moorhead, MN.

In his leisure time Robert enjoyed old cars and tractors and dedicated time to restoring a few over the years. The family enjoyed continuing the tradition started by Robert Sr, of meeting up at the Steam Thresher’s Reunion in Rollag every Labor Day weekend, to take a walk back through simpler times. Robert cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His heart never left the farm, and when he was able to move back out to the country, he was never happier.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Dino) Alexakos, Fargo and son, Robert A. Wohlwend III, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Ava Froseth, David A. Kramer, Tia Wohlwend, Robert A. Wohlwend IV, and Ivy Wohlwend; sister, Roxann Henderson, Ham Lake, MN; niece, Theresa Henderson; and nephews, Brady and Travis Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheryl Cloutier.

A Visitation for Robert will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead. His Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM, in Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. He will be laid to rest in Otterburn Cemetery, Lidgerwood, ND.
