Robert Wolff Obituary

Well Done Good and Faithful Servant!

Robert Daniel Wolff, known to family and friends as Bobby or Bob, departed this life on October 09, 2022 at the young age of 88 years. He was born November 22, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Rosa Katherine Lutz and Arthur Joseph Wolff. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David and James Wolff.

Bobby was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of '52, and proudly served two years active duty and six years reserve in the U.S. Navy Seabees with duty stations in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands and Adak Station, Alaska. He became a member of IBEW Local Union #60 in July 1959 and worked for several electrical companies plus 19 years at Lone Star Brewery in the Electrical Department. While living in Kirby, Texas he was an active member of the Kirby Volunteer Fire Department and founding member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Arriving home from active service in September 1957 he met his future wife, Mary Kay Coffey, on a blind date and they married October 10, 1959. Bob and Mary Kay shared one day shy of 63 years of happily married life together never losing their lighthearted humor and zest for life. Bob was an affectionate and caring husband, loving father to their two daughters Katherine Ann and Karen Annette, boastful grandfather and engaging great-grandfather.

He was a contented and extremely fair-minded man that always enjoyed accomplishing whatever task at hand and took great pride in doing things right at work and at home. Bob enjoyed all sports particularly high school football and forever being loyal to his favorite Judson Rockets. Further interests were golf, bowling, NASCAR, travel, yard work and volunteering his time and talent willingly and generously. Bob's most pleasure came from shared time with family and friends making happy memories from vacations and other memorable outings and occasions through the years.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; daughters Kathy Jackson and husband, Michael, of Houston, Karen Spahn and husband, Keith of Bulverde. Four grandchildren; Erin Boren, Mary Netek, Stephen Jackson and Braden Spahn; two great-grandchildren, Otto and Athena Netek. Brother Gerald Wolff of Kerrville, sisters-in-law, Gertrude Wolff, Peggy Wolff Roberts and their extended families. May God grant rest to Bob, and let perpetual light shine upon him and comfort those he loved.
