Robert Winslow "Bim" Wright

1954 - 2024

Robert Winslow "Bim" Wright, 70, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away on Aug. 7, 2024. Born Feb. 14, 1954, in Fairbanks, Alaska, Bim was known for his remarkable sense of humor and quick-witted one-liners. A gentle soul, he easily made friends and cherished his relationships deeply.

Bim's greatest joys were his family members. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Deseree, and he was a proud father to his three sons, Curtis, Robert (Robbe) and Forrest. He was also a devoted brother to his sister, Julie, and a loving son to his mother, Margie. Bim was preceded in death by his father, Jules, and his brother, Allen.

His legacy extends to his grandchildren, Skyler, Saaren, Carlos, Reagan, Calvin, Nina, Madison and Logan, and his great-grandchild, Sage, all of whom he adored immensely. His family circle also included his daughters-in-law, Lindsay, Rebeca, Maylin and Lacey, alongside numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many other relatives and friends from various walks of life.

Beyond his family, Bim was passionate about gold mining, fishing, flying and enjoying a friendly beer. He often cited Judge Judy during discussions, showcasing his humorous and spirited nature.

A celebration of Bim's life will be held in Wasilla, Alaska, on July 16, 2025. In honor of his love for fishing, the family invites friends and loved ones to join in this favored pastime as they remember Bim's wonderful life next summer.
