Retired MasterSergeant Robert Wright, 71, a beloved, devoted husband, Father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was called by the LORD, to a peaceful, eternal rest on August 11, 2025, at a local hospital.

Robert was the fifth child, and the oldest boy born to the late, Bettie Wright King, on Friday, March 19, 1954, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Having a strong Christian Mother, Robert's Christian life was of Methodist faith.

Robert attended public schools in Bridgeton, New Jersey, while working in a factory at age 15. He graduated from Bridgeton High School, in 1972, and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he spent 21 years of service, retiring in 1993, as Master Sergeant of Civil Engineering Squadron. By the end of

1993, Robert was employed through Emmer Development as Maintenance Supervisor for 14 years, until affected by medical complications.

Robert was known for his great achievements and strength of being able to repair, and lift anything. He had a strong athletic ability in boxing. He love traveling, helping others and spending time with his grandson, Jamahl, during his basketball seasons, attending every game.

Robert's favorite hobbies were golfing and fishing. Robert spent most of his retirement days on the golf course at NAS.

Robert's Christian life at St. Mark AME Zion Church was the highlight of service to God. He was a great teacher in Sunday school education of the Holy Bible, and he served on the Trustees Board under.

Robert was proceeded in death by his Mother: Bettie Wright King; sisters: Diane Bell and Beverly E. King, and brother: Ronald s. King.

Robert leaves to cherish: His wife, Vera Jones Wright; Two daughters: Valorie M. Wright and Andrea D. Wright. Two step children: Vernon Young III and Shauna Young Kennedy ( Michael). Grandchildren: Jamahl Patterson, Devin Hestle; Quajon Young, Michael Kennedy III, and Keigan Kennedy. Three brothers: Victor Torres (Brenda); Jeffrey M King (Maria); Gregory J. King, and three sisters: Joanne Clarke, Liiiian R Stanton, and Patina King. In laws: Clifford and Jean Clemmons; Mitchell and Jennifer Boudreaux, and Warren Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
