Robert Frances Wright, of Conroe, Texas, passed away October 15, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born May 2, 1936, in Weirton, West Virginia, to Ralph Ulysses Wright and Belulah Amanda Wright. He leaves his 4 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many other friends and family.
Robert served in the Army as he had a great passion for his country. Traveling through the Nation, he made a stop in Houston, where he met the love of his life, Connie Blaha. They married shortly thereafter and raised their 4 boys, Robert, Michael, Stephen, and John.
They moved to Conroe, Texas in 1975 where Robert continued his work as an optician. Later, he joined the United States postal service where he worked for over 20 years. Robert also taught math at Willis High School.
An avid chef and animal lover, Robert enjoyed the great outdoors and watching horse races, while enjoying new recipes that he loved to share with friends and family.
Robert will be laid to rest on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Services will be held at McNutt Funeral Home located at: 1703 Porter Rd., Conroe, TX 77301 Visitation: 1-2pm Service: 2pm Burial to follow. Celebration of his life will continue thereafter at the home of Robert and Leslie Wright 15060 Jack Gibbs Rd. Willis, TX 77378
