Robert Wright Obituary
Robert Wright moved back to Texas in 1999, where he remained a resident until his passing. Robert grew up in Davenport and later joined the United States Army at the age of 17, dedicating 29 years of service through both active duty and the reserves. In 1982, Robert married the love of his life, Annette Holmes, in Bell County. Together they shared 43 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Robert worked as a volunteer firefighter, serving communities in Brooks, ME, Stillhouse, Nolanville, and Central Bell County. He was deeply committed to helping others and was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He truly had one of the kindest hearts imaginable. He loved hunting and guns, took pride in being a volunteer fireman, and cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. Above all, Robert was a caring provider who put family first.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Jean, son Zach Wright, one sister, and one brother.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Annette Wright of Harker Heights, son Josh Wright of Temple, daughter Galen "Lynn" Bryan of Harker Heights, daughter Heidi Chapman of Montana, son Robert "Bud" Wright II of Harker Heights, and daughter Lauren Guzman. He also leaves behind three sisters as well as numerous grandchildren and friends.
The family will be accepting visitors at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
