Bobby, as I called my older cousin as a kid, was a warm, friendly, fun older cousin. Our larger extended family had amazing celebrations for bar mitzvahs and weddings with klezmer music as part of the events, along with other ballroom dances from the times. The thing that I remember from those celebrations of my childhood is Bobby in the middle of the circle dances nimbly squatting and kicking out his legs, doing the Russian type folk dance. Apparently, anyone else that knew that dance could no longer squat, and Bobby was the star time after time again.
