It is with great sadness the family of Robert "Bob" Yothers, Jr. announce his passing. He was 58. On February 17, 2025, Bob went home to be with His Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family in Morgantown, WV. He was the Pastor of Dryfork Assembly of God, the Chaplain at Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center and Mountain Memories Assisted Living & Retirement Center, and a funeral assistant at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home and C & S Fredlock Funeral Home.
Born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on March 21, 1966, Bob was the eldest son of Robert and Betty Yothers, Sr. Bob graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1984. While working on his Uncle's farm later that summer, he met his future wife JoAnn Swanson. They were married in Bedford, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1986. Bob and JoAnn bore three sons, Seth (Stacy), Benjamin (Michelle), and Daniel. Bob was very proud of his sons' military service to his country within the United States Air Force. He enjoyed traveling to visit them on their various assignments and hear about their day-to-day lives.
Bob was a man of integrity, conviction, and grit. His passion for people and their spiritual well-being were paramount. Bob was an avid hunter and a lover of the outdoors. He loved to travel and make memories with 'his girl', JoAnn, especially going on drives in the country exploring new roads. He loved his newest job, being a Pappy to their two granddaughters, Madelyn and Abigail, the daughters of Seth and Stacy.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Betty. He is survived by his father, Robert, Sr. of Alum Bank, Pennsylvania, his sister, Shawnee Swanson (Lawrence) of Bedford, Pennsylvania, his brothers David (Johanna) of Paradise, Pennsylvania, Dwayne Yothers (Susan) of Bedford, Pennsylvania, and Thaddeus (Angela) of Alum Bank, Pennsylvania along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, February 22, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Dryfork Assembly of God Church, 48 Harvest View Ln. Dryfork, WV 26263. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the church with Pastor Michael Trotta officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
