Robert Bruce Yowell

TERRE HAUTE-Robert Bruce Yowell, 67, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was Chief Engineer for WTWO with 46 years of service. He was born April 29, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Robert "Goose" Yowell and Freda Louise Curtis Yowell.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Karen McMahan Yowell, whom he married May 31, 1992 in Rockville; also surviving, step-son, Michael D. Feuquay of Terre Haute; siblings, Connie Shattuck of Rosedale, Kathy Yowell of Terre Haute, Linda (Dean) Wildin of Jefferson City, Missouri, Brad (Becky) Yowell of Rosedale; mother -in-law, Ruth McMahan Luce, brother-in-law, Bob (Tracy) McMahan of California; sister-in-law, Shelly McMahan of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews, great nephew, great niece and his puppy Scrappy. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Shattuck.
He was a 1975 graduate of Rosedale High School and received an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College. He also drove a school bus for Southwest Parke School Corporation and a tour bus for the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival for many years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Clinton. He was a former member of the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department and the Florida Township Trustee. He enjoyed fishing and target shooting.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 5, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main Street, Rosedale with Pastor Mike Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 pm Wednesday, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
