I worked with Bob as a fellow bus-operator from the time he joined the (T) until I became the Director of Safety in 1976. When I started the first MBTA Bus Roadeo in 1977, he was one of the top competitors that year and in subsequent years!
Bob and I remained friends over the years until I retired in 1990, especially we met-up until then. He was the same, wonderful, 'full-of-laughter' pal' to me that he always was! I truly believe that Our Lord finally took him 'home' to be with his parents, friends, and all who knew him in this life, and whose lives he made richer for knowing him!
Semper Fi', Bob...

Sorry to hear Bob passed. Grew up a few houses down the street from Bob & family. Tons of fun & great memories with Bob's kids: Tony, Pete, Rocky, & Cindy. Bob always made us all laugh. He was a great guy, & will surely be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss! He brought such joy no matter where he went. I always appreciated him visiting my Dad (Joseph McAdam) & a co-worker of the MBTA. He was a wonderful person. May God Bless him!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. I met him as a teenager in the Dunkin´ donuts in Stoneham, where he´d met my mom, her friend, and a few other individuals. I always remember him as being so kind, welcoming, and funny, giving the DD a community feeling that you didn´t always feel in a franchise. A few times when I didn´t have enough money to cover my sisters and me, Bob would jump up and cover what we needed, then ask if we needed anything else-gas money, waters, etc. He was always looking out for everyone else, and he remembered every little thing about every person that he chatted with. He always talked about his children and grandchildren, laughing about memories and beaming with pride over their accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Bob was truly one of a kind, and the world is a tiny bit less bright without him. Sending my apologies, love and support to his family and loved ones during such a difficult time.
