Robert J. Zembo

Robert J. Zembo, 81, of Foxboro, WI, died Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his residence.

Robert was born June 14, 1944, in Superior, Wisconsin, the son of Walter and Elinore (Anderson) Zembo.

He spent most of his life in Superior and worked many years as a heavy equipment operator. Robert married Linda Ross September 11, 1965.

Robert was a proud member of Heavy Equipment Operators Local #139 and worked for companies including J.R. Jensen, Lunda Construction, and many others throughout his career.

Robert enjoyed a life spent outdoors and around the things he loved. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper, and enjoyed trapshooting and reloading. He also took great pride in feeding and watching hundreds of deer in his yard for many years. Robert had a passion for drag racing and was known as a devoted Mopar and Dodge enthusiast. He raced his 340 Dodge Dart at the Apollo Drag Strip and wherever he could compete.

He was a life member of the Superior Trap Shooting Club and the NRA. Above all else, Robert loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed watching his granddaughters play sports.

Robert is survived by his children, Bear (Amy) Zembo, Robin Zembo, and Wendy Ross; grandchildren Matthew (Natasha), Jessyca (Wyatt), Natasha, Haley, and Ally; and great-grandchildren Melanie and Lilith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda; and his brothers, Jim, and Jack.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Downs Life Celebration Center in Superior with Gary Banker officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date in Summit Cemetery.
