Robert Glenn Zepp, a beloved father and brother, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifton Zepp and Ada Loftice Zepp. He was 84 years old. Born November 17, 1940, on the family farm near
Westminster, Maryland, Glenn (as he was known to family and friends) was raised near the small community of Pleasant Valley. He spent his early years on the Zepp family farm on Murkle Road, alongside his parents, sisters, and grandparents. His experiences on the farm instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for hard work and family tradition. Following his graduation from Westminster High School in 1958, Glenn proudly served his country as a bomb navigation systems technician in the United States Air Force from 1958–1962. He aced technical school, became responsible for maintaining aircraft wiring and electrical equipment on B47E bombers, and was assigned to the Strategic Air Command 306th Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems (A&E) Maintenance Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. His service reflected his strong sense of duty and discipline-values he carried with him throughout his life. Following his military service, Glenn returned to Westminster and embarked on a long, successful career with Telemecanique and Schneider Electric. There, he applied his mastery of the electromechanical field and moved up the management ranks to oversee facilities and safety. Known for his reliability and thoughtful approach, he earned the trust of his colleagues and was known for his fair and methodical approach to his work. Glenn was given a unique assignment, being sent to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. In the tunnels under the Kingdom, he investigated a recall on lighting electrical systems; he then created a tool to more easily inspect the system. His solution proved effective and was later sent to other sites for similar work. Glenn met his former wife, Isabel, at Telemecanique. They settled in Finksburg, where they built a life together and raised their two beloved sons, Eric and Matthew. Though the marriage ended, the years as a family were filled with fond memories. Glenn was a steady presence in his sons' lives. Glenn was deeply passionate about genealogy and spent countless hours researching family history, preserving stories and connections for future generations. His interest in his heritage was not just a hobby-it was a heartfelt endeavor to understand and honor the lives that came before his. Glenn was a stoic, quiet, "gentle giant" of a man who loved his family, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Glenn was predeceased by his eldest son, Eric David Zepp. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Matthew Glenn Zepp and Amanda Schuler Zepp; his sister, Faye Winemiller; and his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Gary Wagner. A private service will be held by the family. Arrangements provided by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made in Glenn's memory to Bridging Life Hospice
