Robert Zoodsma Obituary
He is survived by his wife Nancy; his children: Bill and Dawn Flesvig, and Sony and Charlie Gebben; his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Billy and Anna Flesvig (Landon, and Mila), Nikki Flesvig, Grant and Jenna Gebben, and Ethan Gebben; his brother John and Irene Zoodsma and many loved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his siblings: Don and Lee Zoodsma, and Shirley and Wayne VanderKlippe.
Bob was born to John "Neil" and Jospehine Zoodsma in Grand Rapids on July 27, 1937. Bob graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School, he then enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the USS Randolph for 4 years and then served in the United States Navy Reserves until 1961.
In 1986 Bob married Nancy who was from St. Charles, IL and they moved to Holland. They met at Dukane Corporation. and worked together for many years prior to being married.
A time of visitation will be 4-6 pm Friday, November 22, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Private interment with military honors will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. www.yntemafh.com
