Roberta Jean Bailey

Roberta Jean Bailey (née Dempsey), age 89, of Livonia, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Born on September 28, 1935, in Lansing, Michigan, Jean lived a life filled with love, family, and faith. She was married to the love of her life, Elwyn Bailey, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a devoted marriage and raised two sons, Gregory and Christopher.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sparkling blue eyes, and blonde hair, which reflected her gentle spirit and kind heart.

She leaves behind her sons; her daughters-in-law, Kristin Bailey and Yvonne Bailey; her beloved grandson, Chase; and many dear friends and family members who will hold her memory close.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held between 3:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Rd., Livonia, MI. Jean will be laid to rest at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing, MI.

Jean’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
