Roberta Baker Schneider Obituary
Rincon – Roberta Baker Schneider, 87, passed away February 25, 2026 at her residence.
The Pennsylvania native moved to Georgia in 1976 with her family and retired from Hobart after many years. She enjoyed going to the movies but most of all loved spending time with her family and keeping her grandchildren. She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Harmon Baker and Roberta Mae Long Baker; husband, David Matthew Schneider; son, Thomas Welsh; siblings, Billy, Phyllis, and Ralph.
Survivors include her children, Bobbie Writch (Alan), Tim Schneider (Missy), Dawn Brewer (Billy), and Debbie Sikes (Toby); sister, Rae Hoglen (Pete); grandchildren, Jessica Woods, Justin Welsh, Dylan Welsh, Chris Thompson, Kendall Thompson, Zach Writch, Kaleb Writch, Haylee Edge, Billy Brewer, III, Rylee Brewer, Payton Sikes, Ryan Sikes, David Schneider, and Kari Stewart; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Cocoa.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
