Roberta M. "Bobbie" Bordonaro

Roberta "Bobbie" M. (Doverspike) Bordonaro, age 64, of Erie passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Erie on February 26, 1961, a daughter of the late Robert and Judith (Detweiller) Doverspike.
Bobbie was a dedicated teacher at Walnut Creek Middle School and Asbury Elementary School for 25 years. She loved her students and fellow faculty members. She always went the extra mile to make certain her students succeeded.
In her free time Bobbie enjoyed aerobics, golf, tennis, scuba diving, and biking around the peninsula. She loved baking and cooking with her granddaughters and sharing recipes. Each year, she looked forward to making Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses with her granddaughters, Adalynn and Emilia. She enjoyed planning and cooking family meals. She loved the holidays and having the grandkids over for sleepovers. Bobbie loved traveling and treasured her trips to Las Vegas, Disney, and Italy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Bobbie was a member of St. George Church. She was a kind, happy, and compassionate soul. She was loyal, generous, and energetic. She will be sadly missed by all of those she touched in her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Vinni Bordonaro and her beloved in laws, Edward and Rose Bordonaro.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Attorney Richard Bordonaro, children, Jessica Sesler (Michael) and Richard M. Bordonaro (Corri Hannon); granddaughters Adalynn and Emilia Sesler. She is also survived by a brother, Edward Doverspike, sisters-in-law Laura Bordonaro and Cynthia Hargest (Thomas), and nieces and nephews, Megan Causgrove (Ryan), Chris Doverspike and Danielle Doverspike.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street. A prayer service will be held there on Thursday at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at St. George Church at 10 am. Burial is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
