Roberta "Bobby" Eschenbaum, 95, of Miller, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at Highmore Health in Highmore.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Miller, with Rev. Rhonda Wellsandt-Zell officiating. Burial will follow at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. A visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.

Roberta was born on March 22, 1930, in Casper, WY. She was raised by her parents, George and Kathryn (Waring) Johnson. After graduating from Miller High School, Bobby attended teacher training and taught at a rural school in Hand County for one year.

On November 17, 1949, Bobby married Duane Eschenbaum in Miller, and they were blessed with four children: Duana, Shirley, Harrison, and Jeff. They lived on a ranch south of Miller, where through the years, they raised pigs, sheep, and then cattle. They lived there until 2007, when they moved to Baltic, South Dakota, to live with their son, Harrison. They found their way back to Miller where she resided until moving into Highmore Health in October of 2024.

Bobby was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council and TLCW board. She was an avid reader, enjoyed writing, genealogy research, scrapbooking, and counted cross-stitch.

She is survived by her children, Duana Eschenbaum of Miller, Shirley Cook of Ree Heights, Harrison Eschenbaum of Miller, Jeff (Jody) Eschenbaum of Lake Preston; grandchildren: Vance (Rikki) Cook, Jennifer (Nate) McIntosh, Jessica (Greg) Naderi, Sterling (Courtney) Eschenbaum, Ty Eschenbaum, and Stetson (Maesa) Eschenbaum; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; her parents, Kathryn and George; grandson, Calder Eschenbaum; sister Della (Ray) Moncur; and son-in-law, Mike Cook.

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Bobby's arrangements.
