Roberta Ann Fritz, age 72, of Mt. Carroll, IL, formerly of Hanover, IL, passed away on January 25, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Dubuque, IA.
Roberta was born February 27, 1953 in Hanover, the daughter of Robert and Rose (Baker) Fritz. She graduated from West Dubuque High School with the class of 1971. She spent most of her working career with Dura Corporation.
Roberta cherished family time, and particularly loved seeing her nephews and grand-nieces. In her later years she adored her dog Spotty.
Roberta is survived by her life partner of 17 years, Bruce Wenger, of Mt. Carroll; sister, Cora (Karl) Oberbroeckling, of Peosta, IA; brothers, Terry Fritz, of Peosta and Pat Fritz, of Freeport, IL; nephews, Jesse Oberbroeckling, of Peosta, Matt (Gina) Oberbroeckling, of Key West, IA, and Danny (Tonya) Oberbroeckling, of Peosta; four grand-nieces, Gemma, Oakley, Olive, and Maeve; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rose.
