Roberta "Bobbie" Karabinos

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roberta "Bobbie" Karabinos on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, age 62, of Robinson Township. Preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Karabinos and her parents Anna Pace and Herky Russell, and Robert Mobrey. She is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Karabinos, her children Jennifer Gargaro (Nicholas) and John Karabinos (Morgan), her granddaughter Anna Gargaro, her siblings Regal Mobrey (Barbara) and Angela Juzwick (Marty), as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Bobbie was a graduate of Montour High School and Duff's Business Institute. She chose to step away from her career to raise her family – a decision for which her children are incredibly grateful. She was present for every sporting event, every accomplishment, and any time advice or guidance was needed. Generosity, kindness, and selflessness were traits that came easy to Bobbie. She was a loyal friend and a "second mother" to so many in her life. She was an always available listening ear, shoulder to cry on, and voice of reason. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family and friends. She looked forward to vacations in Ocean City Maryland where she could be found walking the beach or relaxing by the pool. Holidays were some of her favorite times of the year – cooking and hosting Thanksgiving, shopping till she dropped and baking her famous family recipe cheesecake at Christmas, and having an ice cold Miller Lite on St. Patrick's Day. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the oncology team at the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute at Wexford, as well as the Allegheny Health Network palliative medicine and hospice teams. The compassion and care shown by their team was exceptional. Thank you for supporting Bobbie every step of the way. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 1:00-3:00pm and 5:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 10:00am at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church) 5718 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136.
