Roberta Labenz Obituary
Roberta Jane Labenz, age 72, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1952, the daughter of Robert and Nancy (Endicott) Cook, in Crawfordsville, IN. Roberta was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving her country with honor. After her military service, she was best known as a loving wife and committed stay at home mother. Later, she dedicated many years to working as a Postal Carrier until her retirement. Roberta was an avid reader and had a passion for genealogy, always eager to explore her ancestry.
She is survived by her children: Sarah (Eric) Szalkowski, Joshua (Amanda) Labenz, Matthew Labenz, and Andrew (Robert Pulliam) Labenz; 4 beloved grandsons: Emmett, Brayden, Brysen, and Brantley; siblings: Cathy Vinocur, Allen Cook, and Tina Valle; along with her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Keith.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
