Roberta "Bobbie" (Goodspeed) Lecke passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 at the age of 89. Bobbie was born January 27, 1936 in Worcester, MA to Everett Goodspeed and Eleanor Crosbie Goodspeed. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lecke; her son Brad Lecke; and her brother William Goodspeed.

Mom/Grammie/More Grammie will be sorely missed by her daughters and their husbands Debra and Jonathan Treacy of Oxford, ME and Karen and John Mitchell of Moss Point, MS; grandchildren Kyle Treacy (Danielle), Ryan Treacy (Sarah), Emma Mitchell and Zachary Mitchell; and great-grandchildren Nolan and Finnley Treacy, and Teddy and Eloise Treacy. She is also survived by several nieces and far too many friends to count.

Bobbie graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. At the beginning of her career she worked in the hospital but later moved on to home health care for many years. She finished out her career as the College Nurse at Fisher College in Boston for twenty years. She enjoyed her daily interaction with the students and the wonderful perk of traveling internationally with them each year.

Bobbie and her husband Ray raised their family in Walpole, MA and then later moved to West Dennis, MA on Cape Cod. She loved her home on 'The Fingers' and the Cape. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church in S. Yarmouth, and volunteered regularly at the thrift shop. She also volunteered at the Dennis Senior Center and with Bay to Sound. Later she spent most of her winters in Englewood, Florida where she met so many wonderful friends. She moved to Williamsburg, VA in 2023.

Bobbie was forever the professional nurse, always ready to lend a helping hand. She was also a woman of many talents – sewing clothes for her children, drapes for the house, knitting sweaters, hats and Christmas stockings, tending to her beautiful garden, sailing with her husband where she did all the course charting, cooking for friends and family. She was generous with her time and her many talents, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and joy for her. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
