Roberta (Minton) Lee, 78, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025. A dedicated employee of Thomas Tax Service for 30 years, Roberta was known for her work ethic and impeccable attention to detail.
Born on March 25, 1947, in Blue Hole, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Milford and Kizzie (Hooker) Minton. Roberta enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, tending to her flowers and a variety of pastimes, including playing euchre and bingo, which brought her great fun with family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bob Minton, Otis Minton, Mamie Pearl Banet, Dorothy Lynch, and Stanley Minton. Roberta is survived by her devoted husband, Norman Lee, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage. She cherished her children, Paul Lee (Rachael and Donna), Tony Lee, Cheryl Royalty (Alan), and Charlene Lewis (Chad).
Roberta took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Jamie Rawlings (Steven), Heather Stonecipher (Ernest), William Simler (Amber), Ashley Parsons (Jon), Allison Lewis (Ethan), Cody Lewis (Morgan), Dairian Proctor (Donovan), Justin Lee (Whitney), Marshal Lee, and Kyler Lee, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Oakie Crawford, Lucy Marsh, and Geraldine Standiford, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Roberta will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Edwardsville-Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
