On Monday, February 23, 2026, Roberta Ruth Massaro, age 70, of North Lima, OH, passed away at Mercy Hospital Boardman Campus. She was born in Youngstown, OH, on September 29, 1955, to Joseph Cupplo and Billie Blanche (O'Hara) Carnessali.

Roberta shared a remarkable love story with her husband, Phillip Massaro. The couple met and married on July 18, 1995, after knowing each other for only two weeks. Their relationship was built on respect, trust, and love, and they cherished twenty-seven beautiful years together before Phillip's passing in 2023. Roberta fondly remembered the countless times Phillip sang "Teenager in Love" to her throughout their marriage.

She is survived by her children, Brianna (Meagan) Massaro and Michael (Kristin) Cossack, and her treasured grandchildren, Zachary, Leah, Alexa, and Dominic. sister, Danielle Carnessali.

Roberta had a vibrant personality and a unique laugh that brought joy to those around her. She carried her faith closely throughout her life, maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

She worked in a group home with the mentally challenged for Siffrin, Inc., and also had a passion for hairstyling, but was unable to complete cosmetology school due to medical challenges.

Besides her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip; sister, Danielle Carnessali; aunt, Lora Jean Gardner; and cousin Teddy Gardner, who was like a brother to her growing up.

May Roberta's memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
