To an extraordinary man from the greatest generation...

Through 2 wars, 1 widower, 3 children, 1 64 Chevy, 1 motorcycle and 2 canoes while he was one of the most respected icon of the community he was also a teacher of all things. His method was simple. He taught by example. At any age, when faced with an ethical dilemma, after reflection, study, or even rationalization, I find myself coming back to one simple question. What would Dad do? His character is the foundation of my conscience.

Athough my Dad may never have said it out loud I know that he was truly proud of his children and the way we all have grown up. When April, Rae and I would get together on the holidays, he would sit and ask us questions until dark lol.

He showed strength and love right up until his last days with us. I hope that one day, when I die, my son can look back, tell funny stories about me, and talk about how I loved him. Then, like my father, I will have led a complete life.

My deepest condolences to Maxine and family on the passing of Thomas. I have only good memories of him working with him at Donaldson. May you find peace, love, strength, and courage as you say farewell.

I met Thomas Lee in the late 70's when I was looking for information on the Shull family. He let me park my orange pickup truck in his driveway overnight. It was so good to see him again at the family reunion a few years ago. He was a fine man.
