Roberta Stahlheber Obituary

PINCKNEYVILLE - Roberta M. Stahlheber, 88, of Decatur, passed away on Oct. 14, 2025, at Vonderlieth Living Center surrounded by her family.

She was born on Aug. 21, 1937, to the late Howard and Winnie Needham. She married Rudolph B. "Rudy" Stahlheber on Dec. 22, 1956.

Roberta was a hard-working, stay-at-home mom while her children were growing up, and when they went off to college, she went to work at Bishop's Buffet in Forsyth, as a baker of their famous pies, and then a bookkeeper and hostess. She participated in the Garden Club and the Camera Club, and you could find her gardening, even into her 80's.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Stahlheber (Jeff Parmenter); and son, Brent (Brigitte) Stahlheber; and grandchildren, Brooke and Briana Stahlheber; and bonus grandchildren, Jessica and Andrew Parmenter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy, in 2001.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
