Roberto Gonzalez, age 94, died on March 7, 2024 at his Waukesha home surrounded by his loving family.   He was born in Nicaragua on June 17,1929 to Manuel and Julia (nee Sandino) Gonzalez.  On Feb 6, 1957 he married the love of his life, Cristina Gonzalez in Granada, Nicaragua. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2021. Roberto loved taking pictures, he was a life-long New York Yankee fan.  He was a devout catholic, enjoyed being with family and loved to take care of the grandchildren.  He also enjoyed a whisky on the rocks, from time to time.

He is loved and will be missed by his children, Roberto (Flor) Gonzalez; Alvaro (Geyssell) Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez, Maria Jose (John) Lechner, Julia (Kevin) Bull, Mario (Gabriela ) Gonzalez and Tatiana Gonzalez; dear grandpa to Roberto, Carlos, Manuel, Nicky, Alex, Cristina, Daniel, William, Natalie, Matthew and Elijah; great-grandpa to Olivia, Brooklyn, Nikita, Camila, Kalani, Cayson and Asher.  He is further survived by his brother Ernesto Gonzalez other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cristina and brothers Manuel and Rene. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. William’s Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd Waukesha.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM.   Please meet at the cemetery.
