Roberto “Robert” Monroy

Roberto "Robert" Monroy, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 3,

2026, at the young age of 56. Robert was born in El Paso, Texas, on April 4, 1969, to Ruben

Monroy and Yolanda Lujan. He spent most of his life in El Paso and moved to Yukon,

Oklahoma, in 2024 to spend the rest of his life near his grandchildren.

During his years in El Paso, Robert built a life centered around his three children, rooted in

family, faith, hard work, and community. From building toys at Tonka, to packing and shipping,

to material handling at his most recent job at Dexter Axle, Robert always put his heart and soul

into everything he did. He was never afraid of hard work, especially when it meant providing for

his family, and dependable could truly have been his middle name.

To know Robert was to love him. He was selfless and kind-hearted, always the first to help

anyone in need, friend or stranger. Robert loved spending time with his family anytime and

anywhere, from choir concerts to soccer and softball fields. He enjoyed cooking for his loved

ones, traveling, and any activity that included his grandbabies. Robert was a family man at heart,

and he will be remembered for his warm smile, his contagious laugh, and most of all, his heart of

gold.

Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his oldest brother and sister. He is

survived by his three children, Jesus, Maria, and Esmeralda; their mother, Paula; his two

grandchildren, Nyala and Josiah; as well as many other loved ones and friends. He will be

greatly missed by all.

Viewing and rosary will be held Friday, February 13th, at 6pm at McNeil's Funeral Service in

Mustang, Oklahoma. Mass will be held Saturday, February 14th, at 10am at Holy Spirit Catholic

Church, followed by burial at Mustang Cemetery.
