Roberto DeJesus Uribe, proud family man, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in Hackettstown, NJ. He was 74.

Roberto was born July 23, 1951 in Cartago, Colombia. He attended elementary school in Cali, Colombia. He then went to high school at Politecnico Municipal de Cali. After graduating high school he pursued his love for caring for animals and went on to complete 2 years of veterinarian school. He then decided to pursue business administration leading him to a career in sales. After several successful years in his career, he decided to relocate to the United States.

Roberto initially lived in Florida, then moved to Jersey City, New Jersey, and ultimately settled in Cliffwood, New Jersey. There he lived for more than 20 years. While living there he was sought out for his work ethic and leadership skills to become an environmental specialist. After retiring, Roberto moved to the Hackettstown area.

Roberto enjoyed cooking, playing soccer, and being the family handyman. He was also great at telling jokes while keeping a straight face. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was loved and respected by all those that had the privilege to know him.
