Robin Lee (Degnats) Bohn of Laurel, DE, born January 22,1960, passed away at Delaware Hospice, Milford on November 25, 2025, after a battle with aggressive cancer.
She leaves behind a lifetime of love, caring, compassion and talent that will be remembered by all that knew her.
Robin was raised in Felton DE, was Miss Felton in 1975 and graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1978.
Robin Lee Degnats Bohn was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Lee (Sapp) Degnats; her father William C. Degnats, Sr. and brother, William Degnats, Jr.
Survived by her husband Peter N Bohn II; step-mother Catherine Larimore Degnats; siblings Richard Degnats, Larry Minner, Lynn Hobbs (Greg), and Dana Degnats; her aunt Nancy Dellinger and ten nieces and nephews; twenty-four great nieces and nephews; a great-great niece and nephew on her side of the family; three sisters-in-law with spouses and a like number of nieces and nephews on her husband's side.
For the majority of her life, as with her husband a police officer for 41 years, she worked in the Delaware Criminal Justice system. She started at Seaford Police Department in 1981, moved to Justice of the Peace Court 4, then on to the Court of Common Pleas, from where she retired. She then went on to work full and part time for Bridgeville Police Department and Laurel Alderman Court. She also had a job as an Army wife for 40 years maintaining the household and repairs during her husband's many military activations to active duty and deployments including being gone for 14 months in Iraq.
Due to her love of animals, she also had part-time jobs and volunteered with several area veterinarians. Throughout her life she raised and/or cared for 9 cats, over 20 dogs (mostly rescues who had medical issues) and 6 birds (3 rescues with medical issues).
Robin was an extremely talented crafts person. Over the years she created, sold or donated seasonal and Christmas wreaths, crocheted items including caps for infants and child cancer patients and grave decorations and artificial flower arrangements. However, her best creations were the hundreds of themed cakes and cupcakes often spending 12 hours on one cake. Photos of about 100 of them are still on her facebook page.
Lastly, she was a compassionate caregiver, having stayed with several relatives through their illnesses and as her father's caregiver during his hospice period.
