Robin Lynn Christensen, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Long Grove, Illinois. She was born on June 19, 1953, in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
Lake Zurich was always home to Robin. After many years of devoted service with the Township Assessor’s Office, where she worked as a Senior Clerk, she recently retired leaving behind a legacy of compassion and commitment. Robin took great pride in helping others and was responsible for managing exemptions and property sales. She was especially known for the gentle care and respect she showed to every senior and veteran she assisted.
She is survived by her beloved son, Jesse Christensen; her devoted brother, Rori (Denise) Christensen; her nephews, Matthew (Samantha) and Jarret (Jamie) Bushroe; as well as her great-nephews, Renner and Ronin, and her great-niece, Reese.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Carolyn Christensen; and her sister, Renell Beth Bushroe.
Robin was a kind and caring woman who deeply loved her family. Her greatest joy in life was being Jesse’s mother, a role she embraced with unwavering love and devotion. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and the love she so freely gave to others.
In her final years, Robin faced a courageous battle with multiple forms of lung cancer and, ultimately, brain cancer. She met every challenge with grace, resilience, and remarkable strength. Her courage was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Interment will be private at Lake Zurich Cemetery.
