Robin Joan Hollingsworth

Robin Joan Hollingsworth (Book) passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 22, 2025 surrounded by friends and family.
Robin was born in Simla Colorado on November 28, 1953 to Dale and Dorothy Book (Moreland). She grew up in a close family with three sisters (Pat, Susan, and Tracy) and a brother (Blair). The family moved to Rush, Colorado when Robin was in elementary school where she would meet her future husband, Cody Hollingsworth. They later moved into "town" (Colorado Springs) where she would finish school, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1971. After High School she worked as a title clerk at Williams Chevrolet in Colorado Springs. She also obtained a real estate license.
Robin was a lifelong animal lover. As a little girl when she couldn't have a dog of her own at home, her Granddad gave her a certificate for half ownership of his beloved weimaraner. She started riding horses as a girl and continued into adulthood. When she reconnected with Cody they married and lived on a ranch in Craig, Colorado where they had two children together (Deke and Mandy). When Cody passed away at a young age, Robin moved to Falcon, Colorado. She raised her two kids there on five acres- allowing them to have dogs, cats, goats, ducks and even a snake they'd caught (the only animal she wasn't very fond of).
She was active in her church for several years in Falcon and taught Sunday school there.
As a Colorado native, Robin loved the mountains. If she didn't live in them she at least wanted to see them. A view of the Peak was a must when choosing a place to live. She was also a Broncos fan.
Robin loved plants as well. She liked gardening and was very knowledgeable about house plants and how to care for them. Later in life she enjoyed her work at flower shops in Colorado Springs.
She loved sewing, reading, music, and spending time with family; especially her granddaughter, Perrin.
Robin always had an easy time making friends. She could find a way to relate to someone even if they seemingly had nothing in common with her. She chose to find the good in people.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday July 22, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 at Springs Funeral Services Platte location. Interment at Simla Cemetery in Simla, CO will follow at around 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to The Audubon Society www.audubon.org
