Robin L May 68, of Campbell County, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 5th 2024 surrounded by family.
Robin was born in Bayshore NY to Louis and Mildred Short. She had four brothers; John, Bill, Lewis and Jeff and one sister Karen.
Robin met the love of her life, George Daniel May (aka Elvis), in Bohemia, NY through mutual friends and they got married the same year. They started their new life, and soon welcomed their first son together in 1977 (Shaun Christopher). Their second son came one year later in 1978 (Brian Daniel) and their third son came in 1987 (Thomas Andrew). In 1991, they decided to relocate to Lynchburg, VA where they settled happily.
Robin built many special relationships within the community due to her loving and caring nature. She dedicated countless hours at a Hospice home, where she helped with patients that were at a very delicate and vulnerable stage.
Robin loved and lived for her family. She enjoyed and treasured time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Robin is preceded in death by her father Louis and mother Mildred, brothers John and Billy, and her beloved dog Gizmo.
Robin is survived by her loving husband George (aka Elvis), sister Karen, brother Lewis, brother Jeff, son Shaun (Jaclyn), son Brian (Minnie), son Thomas, grandchildren: Starr, Jaime A Jr, Lynda, Kelvyn, Javier, and Charles; great grandchildren: Eden and Alexander and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private family visitation will take place at Tharp Funeral Home on Thursday May 9th at 4:00 pm, immediately following, a service will be held at the funeral home chapel at 5:00 pm, where other visitors are welcome.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
