Obituary published on Legacy.com by Massie Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.
Robin Renee Lewis was born on April 21, 1981, in
Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Robert Morse and Loretta Morse and the youngest of two children.
Robin attended and graduated from Cairo High School. After high school, she began her first employment with the Alexander County Public Aid Office while simultaneously earning her CNA certification. For more than 10 years, her CNA certification allowed her to work with various hospitals, Veterans Home facilities, as well as through private duty contracts.
She later enrolled in college and completed an Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. During her career as a respiratory therapist, Robin chose to serve on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to three lucrative contract assignments, two in New York and one in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
While helping to save lives, she discovered another passion: teaching others how to save lives and establishing her own business. She began instructing courses in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Robin followed her dreams and invested in her own business, CPR-R-US. Through CPR-R-US, Robin trained and certified thousands of doctors, nurses, first responders, educators, students, and organizations in BLS, ACLS, PALS, First Aid, AED, and Heartsaver certifications. Her business flourished and grew rapidly. As it expanded, she trained her nephews, sister, and several friends to become part of the team.
In 2024, Robin established an addition to CPR-R-US called Empowering People to Save a Life (EPSAL). Robin remained ambitious and dedicated so that her legacy of helping others would live on.
Robin was an established and successful entrepreneur. She had a huge heart and was a generous giver. She was outgoing and adventurous, and she loved to laugh, dance, and spend time with her family. When it was time for karaoke, she was always the first to run and grab the microphone. She loved creating memories with those she loved.
She was united in marriage to Samuel Lee Lewis in October of 2012.
Her wonderful smile will always be embedded in our memories. Her illness was short-lived, lasting only a few months. On February 27, 2026, she once again accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior while repeating the sinner's prayer led by her mother. God then called His angel home. She was surrounded with love until her last breath by her mother and sister.
She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish precious memories: her spouse, Samuel Lee Lewis of
Chester, Illinois; one son, Samuel Lee Lewis III of Florissant, Missouri. One daughter, Nee'Lee Ra'Quel Lewis, preceded her in death, as did one son, Samuel Lee Lewis Jr.
She also leaves to cherish her precious memories: her father, Robert Morse of Cleveland, Ohio; her mother, Loretta Morse of Florissant, Missouri; one sister, Dr. Sheila (Riko) Nelson of Cairo, Illinois; two special nephews, Ronald (RJ) Henderson of St Peters Missouri and Riko Nelson Jr. of Belleville, IL; her God-parents, Derek and Retha Eurales of
Cairo, IL; her God- brothers, Derek (Cecelia) Eurales of Clarksville, TN and Devone (Lauren)Eurales of Gales, IL; and her God-sister, Patrona Davis of San Francisco, California. She also leaves a special sister-in-love, Angie Kizer, and special friends Latrisha Dupree, Kena Edwards, Kimberly Hughey, Shemen Jones-Stewart, and Tiera Smith.
