Robin McCaig Obituary

Robin had a deep love for animals, a passion that defined much of her life. She cared for her Chihuahua, Cisco, and her Sheltie, Shelby, as family, and her kindness extended to all creatures. Robin was known for her generous heart, even setting aside much of her household food to feed the cows near her home.
On March 27, 1998, Robin married her soulmate, Dan McCaig, in Pottsboro, Texas. They shared a loving life together, rooted in compassion and warmth. Robin is survived by her husband, Dan McCaig of Pottsboro, Texas; her son, Shawn Smith; and two grandchildren, Derrick and Ethan Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Sonya Minnick, and her sister, Roxanne Stacey.
Robin's spirit, kindness, and love of animals leave an enduring legacy in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who were touched by her gentle soul.

My first memory with Robin was three years ago when we moved across the street from her and Dan. She repeatedly told me how beautiful I was, gave me multiples hugs, and fell in love with my (two) kids at the time. I now now have three kids and she adored them all. We would exchange gifts from time to time, visit when we caught each other outside and find out new things about each other that we both enjoyed doing. She was a sweet, beautiful, loving lady and I will miss seeing her face

Robin I just found out yesterday. I miss you so much already. Thank you for being my mentor and best friend. You were what got me through losing Roxanne and now you're togather.
