Robin G. Thigpen

I am so thankful that I had the honor of calling Robin my friend for over 30 yrs. She has been an encourager to me when times were tough, and always said positive things no matter how dark the situations looked in life. After I moved to Michigan, she and I talked, she was such a blessing to me. Thank you, Lord for allowing me to meet Robin, and I pray I was a great friend to her, as she was to me. Praying for all the family that I dearly love.... God bless you all in the days, weeks, and yrs to come. Sorrow turns to sweet memories because you can go where Robin went! Heaven.

the funeral was just today but the passing was Wednesday and i miss you more than anything.

On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Robin G. Thigpen, U.S. Army veteran. We salute her for her service to our country and honor her with this poem:

She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue

She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly

She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside

We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job "well done!"

I knew you a little thru your daughter Mandy an son James, sent you some homemade soup and not expecting anything in return but received the sweetest thank you note thru mail our prayers are with your family thru this sorrow full time but I quote your mother said she was blessed an God Is Good! Sincerely!

Praying for God to give all of the family comfort during this time. I love you all and will be praying for you during this difficult time.

Robin was one of my best friends in childhood. We use to wait for the number 7 bus (Miss. Sumrall) to pick us up for school every day and we were in pepsquad together. We lost touch with each other as we got older but I will never forget Robin. She was a very kind and good hearted person. My prayers are with all of her family and friends.

Sincere condolences on the passing of Robin. Robin was always a joy and pleasure to our family while we lived in Bogalusa. There are many fond memories of her.
