Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wimberly Funeral Home on Jan. 16, 2026.
Robin Lee Vaughn, Jr., age 51, departed this life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on February 4, 1974, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Robin Lee Vaughn, Sr., and Joyce Edwards. Robin attended Allendale Fairfax High School. He later relocated to Georgia, where he made Atlanta his home."

Robin was a very private individual-quiet, caring, and deeply devoted to his close family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing video games, and exploring diverse culinary experiences. He possessed a strong spirit and had a deep appreciation for karate films, science fiction, and physical fitness."

"His commitment to continuous learning led him to earn certification as an IT Specialist with a concentration in Cybersecurity. Robin was employed by CNN/Turner Broadcasting, where he served for 20 years."

He's preceded in death by his father, Robin Lee Vaughn Sr., and his grandfather, Willie James Edwards. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Joyce Aldrich; his siblings, Orlando (Charissa) Vaughn, Shawne (Kenyatta) McKinney, Katasha (Carl) Humphrey, Maggie Aldrich, and Mary Aldrich; his beloved grandmother, Mary Edwards; along with aunts, uncles, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his best friend in the world, Felisha Richardson.

Robin will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle heart, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
