Robinsunne

On January 10, 2026, Robinsunne passed peacefully surrounded by her children and close friends.

Robinsunne was born in Mount Kisco, New York. She is a high school graduate of Saint Margaret's-McTernan and holds associate and bachelor's degrees from Pine Manor and Mills College respectively.

Robinsunne was a lifelong artist. Ever since she was a child, she could always be found sewing, drawing, or crafting a variety of art projects, including multi-media sculptures, drawings, beaded appliqués, and paintings. Art was a meditative practice for Robinsunne, and she wove her life stories into her art pieces, using her creativity and ingenuity to create unique and colorful multi-media pieces that showcased her artistic brilliance and touched the hearts of those who bore witness to the same. Robinsunne was also a teacher. She taught many art classes, including most recently at the Camden Library in Camden, Maine.

While her children would say that Robinsunne's incredible art portfolio is her most notable legacy, Robinsunne herself would proclaim that it is her two children. A cherished and beloved mother to both, she instilled in them her love of art and learning, compassion, strength, and care for others. Their childhood was full of laughter, storytelling, many family adventures, and unwavering love.

In her community and among friends, Robinsunne was known as a fiercely loving, strong, and empathetic person who used her love of art to connect with and uplift those around her. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched with her bright soul.

Robinsunne is survived by her daughter Xara Sunne (and Xara's fiancé Matthew Prescott), her son James Locke, and her sister Margaret Dahlgren, along with a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Pascal Hall in Rockport, Maine. The family invites those who loved Robinsunne to join together with them to remember and celebrate her vibrant life. All are welcome. Colorful attire encouraged.
