Robyn L. Welch

Robyn L. Welch, 48, of Sidney Center, NY and formerly of Susquehanna County, PA passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. She is the daughter of the late George and Lily Buchanan. She is also predeceased by her sister, Michelle Viggiano; a brother, Georgie Buchanan; a niece, Jennifer Lyon; brothers-in-law, Bob Mclaud and David Sheridan.

Robyn is survived by her companion and best friend, David McDonald; her three children, Brad Welch, Brandon Welch (Kayla), and Brittany Welch (Jacob); eight grandchildren, Gianna, Paislee, Camden, Maliya, Brielle, Oaklynn, Karmyn, and Aiden "Pookie"; siblings, June (Mike) Sadler, Harry Buchanan, Nellie (Jon) Mclaud, Ann Marie Sheridan, Vida (Davey) Thomas, Charlotte Buchanan (Brian); a brother-in-law, Paul Viggiano; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; steadfast friends, Susie Steban and Nancy Beers; and her faithful feline companion, Floki.

Robyn worked in the warehouse at Frito Lay. She loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, landscaping, watching waterfalls, plants, animals of all kinds, and her home in Sidney Center. Robyn was always scouting out good deals, thrift stores, flea markets, and sales. She was a beautiful woman and being in her presence was like having a ray of sunshine to cheer up the atmosphere. She made friends easily and loved to feed everyone and meet their physical and emotional needs. Robyn leaves behind a lasting impact and a trail of wonderful memories. She is dearly loved and deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lanesboro Community Center on December 21, 2025 from 11-5. Inurnment in Lanesboro Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in her memory to your local animal shelter or visit your local shelter and volunteer to walk a dog to honor her life and love of animals.
