Rocco R. Russo

Rocco R. Russo of Weymouth passed away suddenly on August 1, 2022, at the age of 70. Rocco was born, raised and educated in Weymouth. Rocco graduated from Weymouth High School evening program with High Honors. During the Vietnam era he enlisted in the Marines Corp and was stationed at Camp Le Juenne, where he received a National Defense Service Medal for his time. After his discharge Rocco worked various jobs before settling into his career as a barber, working at the Jackson Square Barber Shop for 37 years.

Rocco had various hobbies and talents. He loved to cook, garden, play his guitar and sing. He was the family "fix-it-man" and appreciated a good joke or prank. Rocco was a staple to his Weymouth Sons of Italy family being a member for 50+ years and was past president for 3 terms. Above all else Rocco was a family man, a kind and wonderful husband and father and a friend to all he met. Rocco was truly a gift to his family and community and will be sorely missed.

Rocco was predeceased by his parents John and Theodora Russo of Weymouth. Rocco was the loving husband of Claudia Russo (Reis) of Weymouth. He was the devoted father of Ed Russo and his fiancée Kristin of Bridgewater, Ami Russo of Weymouth, and Andrew Russo and his wife Brooke of Dallas TX. Rocco was the cherished grandfather of Tammy, Megan, Sophia, Rocco, Jacob, Cory and Sami and the great grandfather of Kloe and Mila. Rocco also leaves behind his siblings John Russo and Gina Coveney both of Weymouth.
