Rochelle Hunter Smith, 86, born on October 11, 1939, passed away on February 6, 2026, as she slept

away from this place and entered into glory. Rochelle was the daughter of Sam and Irene Hunter

(deceased) and the wife of Jim Smith Jr. (deceased). Rochelle had 7 siblings: Ellouise Hudson Furlow,

Leroy Hudson, Charles Hunter, Zeke Hudson, Lillie Hudson Robinson, Elester Hudson Lovett, John Henry

Hudson, Delora Lasane, and Shirley Hunter Stowe, whom she has joined in this final resting place.

Rochelle leaves to mourn a cherished brother, Jim Hunter (Beulah); 2 brothers-in-law, Buddy (Lottie) and

Willie Tot Smith; 2 sisters-in-law, Ella Walker and Florine Smith; and 4 children that she faithfully nurtured

in the fear of God, Rosalind Brown (Robert), Leesburg, FL; Deidre Smith, Leesburg, FL; Carolette Smith;

and Johnny Smith, Edgefield, South Carolina. Rochelle has 8 grandchildren whom she loved to life and

instilled great values in: Derrick Greene, Eric Greene, Alysha Greene, Antwan Myles, Tia King, David

Boyd Jr., Nakeisha Boyd, and Tyree Smith. Rochelle also leaves to mourn 25 great-grandchildren and 5

great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, to name a few: Carmeta, Gina, Cynthia,

Yolanda, Roger, Reggie, Pastor Jr. Adams, Tyrone, and Jackie, who were very close to her and spent as

much time with her as their own mother. Mother Rochelle was a mother to all and had many, many, many

children all over this side of heaven who were known to be loving and dedicated godchildren. Jaye,

Denice, Lois, Stephanie, Penny, and Owen came into her life, and she loved them as her own. Her close

friends are Linda James, Voncille McKenzie, Sue Grahm, and others.
