Rochelle was born on January 9, 1972 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Darrell and Ruby (Zirpel) Hoxsie. She lived in Woonsocket, South Dakota until moving to Sioux City, Iowa in April of 1981. Rochelle graduated from North High School in 1990. She worked at Gateway until they closed. Rochelle had to choose a new career path in nursing, graduating from WITCC in 2005.

She worked at MercyOne – Singing Hills with some amazing people. Everyone who ever met her, all said the same thing, "She is a wonderful person, phenomenal nurse with a kind heart." Rochelle met the love-of-her-life, James Weideman, on July 17, 1993. They were married on July 17, 1999 at Latham Park, Sioux City, Iowa. She is mother to two beautiful children, Reanna and Tristan.

Rochelle enjoyed reading, playing ball with her fur babies, Josie and Lizzie, traveling, country music, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed hosting family get-togethers in her home. She could change the mood with her beautiful smile, and was a Kansas City Chief fan along with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Rochelle is survived by her husband James "Jay" Weideman; children Reanna and Tristan; brothers Daniel (Angela) Hoxsie and Doyle (Mendi) Hoxsie; sister Renae Szczepanik; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her parents, daughter Hailey, and father-in-law Thomas Weideman.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice of the Midwest, especially Marva, for their care and comforting of our family.
