August 11, 1987 - October 6, 2025
On October 6, 2025, the Creator called our beloved Rocio to the Spirit World. She was a proud Mestiza Native, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Rosa Roybal and Carlos Gonzalez.
Rocio was a bright, loving Leo whose warmth and spirit touched everyone she met. She loved butterflies, jewelry-especially turquoise-and the beauty of her Southwestern roots. She loved to sing and spend time with family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was curling up on the couch to watch her favorite movies. Her kindness, loca humor, and generous heart will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her beloved siblings: Benny Chavez, Miguel Ojeda, Rosario Roybal, Angelica Gonzalez, her closest sister Maria Gonzalez, Miranda Gonzalez, and Carlos Gonzalez. In-laws: Kimberly Chavez, Michelle Ojeda, and Nick Goss.
She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Benny Jr., Patricia, and Christina Chavez; Reina Alarid; Emillia and Isabella Ojeda; Cruz Bencomo; and Joshua, Juliet, and Xavier. In-laws: Jeff Saracen and Ilsy Bencomo.
Rocio is predeceased by her mother, Rosa, with whom she is now reunited in peace and love.
Her light, laughter, and love will forever shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Services for Rocio Gonzalez will be held on Wednesday, October 29. The Rosary will begin at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Fe, NM.
