Rock "Rocky" Smuck, 69, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. The son of William G. Smuck Sr. and Eunice O. Ehrman Smuck, he was born on January 4, 1956 in Baltimore, MD. He was the sixth of eight children.
As a youngster, Rocky ran a paper route with his father. He later worked on a tugboat, drove dump trucks, and did various jobs in the construction industry. He was a skilled laborer and construction worker. Throughout his life, Rocky was a loving father to his children. He enjoyed cooking, watching Nascar, and working on cars. He loved his family, animals, going to the park, movies, carnivals, go-karting, and raising German shepherds with his kids. Among his many talents, Rocky had unique solutions to fixing things, amazing mechanical ability, a love for masonry, and he was a gifted storyteller. His optimism and humor were unmatched along with his big and loving heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by daughter Pebbles, son Sean, grand daughter Madilynn, sisters Holly and Valli, brother Kurt, brother-in-law Donald, sister in-law Jane, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Margaret "Jill" Henson (2008) and Susan Rippel (2010) as well as brothers William Smuck Jr. and Ronald Smuck (2024).
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The service will begin at 12 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Carroll County Humane Society in memory of Rock Smuck would be appreciated.
