Rocky Factor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home and Cremations - Zanesville on Dec. 3, 2025.
Rocky Dean Factor, born November 26, 1954, went to be with his lord and Savior on December 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Rocky was born in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Weldon and Ruth Factor. He was a 1973 graduate of Maysville High School and as well as the Muskingum Area Joint Vocational School, where he studied Horticulture. He worked for Timber Run Gardens for over 35 years, where he retired.

Rocky was a simple man who didn't like a lot of attention. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and watching Western shows, especially John Wayne. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Jason, and his family whom he lived with for 15 years. Rocky attended the former Faith Christian Center Church which eventually merged with the Rock Church this year. He gave his heart to the Lord on December 2nd, 2012. He loved his church family, especially Pastors Chuck and Pat Gamble, as well as special friends, Ralph Israel and Leo Altman; and lifelong friends, Terry and Sally Smedley.

Rocky leaves behind his son, Jason (Stephanie) Factor; 3 grandchildren: Wyatt (Tristan) Factor, Tyler (Mya Rush) Factor, and Madison (Cole Shirkey) Factor; 3 rambunctious great grandchildren, Elijah, Liz and Silas; niece, Jenny Factor; nephew, John Factor Jr.; and his beloved side kick, Cash, who never left his side.

Rocky is proceeded in death by his parents, Weldon Robert Factor and Ruth Maxine (Jadwin) Factor; only brother, John Factor; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Factor.

Rocky leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to God and family.

Graveside services will be held on Friday December 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Donny Rowland officiating. Burial will conclude services.
