Rocky James Fogler

Rocky James Fogler passed away in Yakima, WA on November 8, 2024. He was born on July 16, 1992 to Misti and Travis Barnes. Rocky was born deaf but he didn't let that slow him down. He spent the short time he had on this earth fighting to prove to everyone just how normal and capable he was. He was a fighter to the end and in death continues to fight.
Rocky was resourceful and liked to figure things out on his own, rarely asking for help. He preferred to do it alone. He had a heart of gold and never judged or made fun of anyone. He was quick to anger if someone made fun of him or tried to exclude him based on his disability. He never thought being deaf was a disability and it never stopped him from being a hard worker.
Rocky was a people person. He had numerous friends and he touched everyone that knew him. Rocky's 32 years on this planet was not enough time for those who loved him, but then again 2000 years wouldn't have been long enough either. He will never be forgotten.
Rocky is preceded in death by his grandfather Melvin Barnes, grandmother Mari Dugas. He is survived by his parents Misti and Travis Barnes, siblings Ryan Fogler, Raymond Barnes, Anastasia Barnes, and Donald Barnes, two nieces Alizay Fogler and Hinnessie Fogler and nephew King Banks as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, November 30. 2024 from 10:00am to 1:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00pm, both held at Brookside Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). A Potluck reception will follow the service at the Holiday Inn, 802 E. Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98901) at 3:00pm.
