I was very saddened to hear that Rod had passed away. He left us too soon. I knew Rod from high school in Faulkton, SD. He was in the class ahead of me. He was always so polite and kind, with a great sense of humor. He was an intelligent man, whom I always enjoyed talking to at the school reunions. I just saw him and spoke with him at the last reunion in 2022. My condolences to his mom, Jean, and his siblings. Rod was such a good guy, and he'll be missed. Peg Slater, high school friend

So suprised and sad to hear that Rod had passed away. My history with Rod goes back to USD college days in Vermillion, SD. Rod was a brilliant young man with a great Heart and soul. I always loved spending time with him as Sigma Nu Fraternity Brothers. --Lots of Fun, but with Purpose and success. We went our own ways but recently rediscovered each other again. POTS is a terrible Syndrome with very limited treatment modalities. We communicated newer or most recent opportunities to address this wicked disease to no avail. I remain Blessed that thru friends we were able to resume communication again. Rod was a Brilliant and caring person and will be very missed. Our Sympathies to all his family and friends! Rod was an incredible friend. My wife Irene introduced me to him nearly 30 years ago when I needed another guy for a fantasy football league. We developed a strong bond, spending time together, watching sports, and brainstorming solutions for life’s challenges. Our adventures took us to Reno, Las Vegas, Arizona spring training, a few Nebraska Cornhuskers games, and many more. I’ll deeply miss our daily exchanges via texts and phone calls. My thoughts and prayers go out to Rod’s siblings and their mom. His absence will be felt tremendously.
