Rodney D. Cooper, 59, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. He was born July 2, 1966 in West Union, son of Katheryn Blevins Grooms and the late Millard C. Cooper. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Vaughn. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Chester "Deek" Grooms and his brothers, Kevin and Cecil Cooper.

Rodney had a true love for the outdoors, whether it was deer hunting, mushroom hunting, or searching for arrowheads. By his side was always his loyal dog, Griz, who he deeply adored. Rodney was a faithful friend, known for his kindness and his willingness to help anyone in need. His generous spirit and warm heart touched everyone who knew him, and he will be remembered with love by all.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his 3 sons, Anthony (Anita) Vaughn, Jeremy Napier and Christopher Cooper; grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Nevaeh, Tyler and Wesley; siblings, Patricia (Tim) Hackathorn, Rita (Mike) Crummie, Nancy (Mark) Morgan, Vernon (June) Cooper, Lisa Buckett, Anita (David) Horsley and Marvin Cooper; his 3 great-friends, Rob Bentley, Billy Kinhalt and Paul Bennington; cousin, Cindy Barber as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Little officiating. Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery.
